What makes Burrowhead Holiday Village special?
Everything of course! We have plenty to offer for both owners and holidaymakers.
There are plenty of activities offered at the site to keep the whole family entertained during a stay at Burrowhead Holiday Village.
For younger guests there is a fun play area, crazy golf, amusement game zone and a soft play area. Brand new for 2024 our outdoor swimming pool (open from 1st June until the end of September – during the school holidays the pool does not require booking it is open from 10am until 4pm every day excluding Tuesdays) is always popular with guests young and old in the Summer months. There’s also an indoor jacuzzi and sauna, a toddler splash pool and fun slide on hand for little ones.
Pitch and putt golf is also found at the site with golf clubs available for hire. Children’s outdoor play area, small football pitch and volleyball court. You will also be able to enjoy our snooker room complete with licensed family bar, that offers seasonal entertainment. Cafe and a shop.

Activities for all ages
At Burrowhead we have activities to keep the whole family entertained.
There are lots of bike trails, and walking trails in the area. Or, why not enjoy a game of air hockey, pool or challenge each other on the racing or dancing games! The bar is family friendly but all under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult. Outdoors we have a playground for all to enjoy, football goals on the seafront, a volley ball net, crazy golf, pitch and putt.
Every weekend from 1st March to 1st November we provide an entertainment programme. This increases to 5 days a week during all school holidays. Enjoy kids clubs, quiz nights, bingo, Wii night, family team events, game show nights and much more!
We also host different live cabaret singers on Saturday evenings on bank holiday weekends and school holidays.
Play Area
Burrowhead has an extensive children’s outdoor play area suitable for all ages. Climb the jumbo-lander wall, follow the assault course around the perimeter or simply enjoy the sandpit and swings! The play area is central to the facilities and next to the old style crazy golf!
Golf
Why not try out your golf skills at our onsite 9 hole pitch and putt course. Clubs are available for hire from reception. If you prefer football, there are 5-a-side nets for use on the seafront and a volley ball net opposite the children’s play area.
Outdoor Swimming Pool
Burrowhead’s brand new for 2024 outdoor swimming pool is from 1st June until the end of September. During the school holidays the pool does not require booking it is open from 10am until 4pm every day except Tuesdays. All under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult. A signed disclaimer will be required prior to using the pool facilities. There are chairs and sun loungers available for use. The shallow end is suitable for smaller children whilst the deep end is around 1.5m deep. You are welcome to bring your own inflatables!
Oasis Spa
Within the oasis Spa, there is a heated Jacuzzi pool, toddler splash pool with slide and adults only sauna. Changing facilities available. Please note all under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult.
Soft Play
The Headland café complex is open daily from 1st March to 1st November and comprises of the café, takeaway, shop, arcade and soft play. The soft play is suitable for 7 and under whilst the arcade has dance machines, driving games, air hockey, pool tables and much more to suit all ages.
Food and drink
The Headland Bar is family friendly with a live cabaret throughout the season from 1st March to 31st December increasing to 5 days a week in school holidays. Entertainment includes kids clubs, quizzes, bingo, game show nights and much more. Live cabaret singers perform on Saturdays in school holidays and Bank holiday weekends. Burrowhead’s mascot ‘Bruno’ joins in with some weekend kids club during holiday periods for a photo opportunity! Themed nights are organised throughout the season.
The bar has a pool table and adults only room with snooker table and darts board.
There is a Laundrette on site which is coin or token operated situated within the touring area shower facilities building. Tokens can be purchased from the reception or Headland café complex.
Enjoy a hot cup of coffee, snack or main meal in our café. There’s also a fully stocked shop with everything you’ll need in the same building too. Open all year round!
Our no nonsense takeaway is there for you when you need it most! Choose between fish, burgers, chicken or main courses such as lasagne!
